All Karachi Youth Jiu-Jitsu & MMA Championship Held on Kashmir Solidarity Day
KARACHI ; On the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, the All Karachi Youth Jiu-Jitsu & Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Championship was successfully held on 5th February at the Bilawal Sports Complex, Korangi, Karachi.
The championship featured Under-16 and Under-18 male and female youth competitions, providing a competitive platform for emerging talent from across the city.
A large number of youth athletes from all districts of Karachi participated in the event. The Jiu-Jitsu and MMA bouts were conducted in a highly organized, safe, and professional environment, showcasing the technical skills, discipline, and competitive spirit of the young athletes. The enthusiastic participation reflected the growing popularity of martial arts among youth in the province.
The Chief Guest of the event was Mr. Munwar Ali Mehaser Secretary Sports & Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sindh, who appreciated the efforts of the DSO Shakeel Ahemed and both associations KJJA & KMMA and encouraged young athletes to pursue sports for physical fitness, discipline, and national pride.
Also present at the event were Mr. Zulfiqar Ali, President, Sindh Mixed Martial Arts Association; Mr. Ismail Shah, DSO East; Mr. Shakeel, DSO Korangi, Mr. Sunny, DSO Malir and Mr. Muhammad Usman, DSO West arrangements and smooth conduct of the championships.
The distinguished guests praised the excellent organization of the championship and the high standard of competition, and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting youth sports initiatives.
The Government of Sindh and sports authorities reiterated their continued support for the promotion and development of Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts at the grassroots and youth levels.
