Archery Association Takes Major Initiative Ahead of Under-21 Games
PESHAWAR : The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Archery Association has taken a major initiative ahead of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Under-21 Games by deciding to provide complete archery equipment to teams from all regions of the province.
The initiative aims to promote archery across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and ensure better facilities for young athletes participating in the Under-21 Games.
Talking to the media, Secretary General of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Archery Association, Sarfaraz Khan, said the provincial association was taking concrete steps to promote the sport and provide better opportunities and facilities to talented young archers across the province.
He said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had immense potential and talent among its young archers, but they needed proper training, quality equipment and greater opportunities to compete at different levels.
Sarfaraz Khan said archery teams from all seven regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would participate in the Under-21 Games. To facilitate the athletes, the provincial association had decided to provide them with complete archery equipment so that they could compete with modern and quality gear and demonstrate their abilities to the fullest.
He added that the association’s objective was not limited to organizing competitions but also to establish a strong foundation for the development of archery in the province and provide young athletes with opportunities to progress to national and international levels.
Special attention, he said, was also being given to identifying new talent through the Under-21 Games and preparing promising young archers for major competitions in the future.
The Secretary General expressed hope that the Under-21 Games would provide a valuable platform for emerging archers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and help bring new talent to the forefront, enabling the province’s athletes to represent and earn recognition for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at the national level.
