PTF unveils U-12 squads for Asia Regional Qualifying event in Nepal
By Nawaz Gohar ; The Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) has announced the national boys’ and girls’ squads for the Asia Under-12 Team Competition and Asia Regional Qualifying Event.
According to details, the event is scheduled to take place in Kathmandu, Nepal, from April 11 to April 18, 2026.
To finalize the national teams, selection trials were held from March 9 to March 11, 2026, at the PTF Tennis Complex in Islamabad. Based on national rankings and recent form, eight boys and five girls were invited to participate in the trials.
The Boys’ Team features Muhammad Ayan, Muhammad Faizan, and Mustafa Uzair Rana, with M. Ibrahim Hussain Gul named as the reserve player.
The Girls’ Team includes Shahnoor Umar, Shahreen Umar, and Wajiha Fatima, while Dua Yousaf Qureshi has been kept as the reserve player.
The President and Secretary General of the Pakistan Tennis Federation congratulated the selected athletes, extending their best wishes for a stellar performance in the upcoming event and continued success in their future careers.
