Pakistan Squash Federation secures top honors at ASF Awards 2025
ISLAMABAD: The Asian Squash Federation (ASF) has officially announced the recipients of the 2025 Annual Awards, highlighting significant achievements for Pakistan on the continental stage.
In a testament to his enduring impact on the sport, Fahim Gul, Head Coach of the Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF), has been selected for the prestigious ASF Coaches Award 2025.
Following a distinguished international career as a player, Gul has transitioned into a premier coaching figure, guiding the next generation of Pakistani talent. He shares this honor with Peter Genever of Hong Kong, China, who was also named a joint recipient of the award.
Pakistan’s resurgence in the junior circuit was recognized with the ASF Development Award, granted to the Pakistan Junior Team. This accolade follows their impressive Bronze Medal performance at the 22nd Asian Junior Squash Championship 2025.
In the individual categories, the awards saw a diverse spread of winners across the region:
Hassan Musa Under-19 Men’s Award: Won by Wa Sern Low (Malaysia).
Under-19 Women’s Award: Won by Anahat Singh (India).
Special Recognition: Faheem Khan, coaching for Hong Kong, China, will be presented with a Certificate of Appreciation for his contributions to the sport.
The formal awards ceremony is scheduled to take place next month in China. The presentation will be a highlight of the 23rd Asian Junior Individual Squash Championship, bringing together the finest squash talent and administrators from across Asia.
