Pakistan Junior Golf Team Departs for Dhaka to Compete in 3rd APGC Championship
ISLAMABAD : A talented Pakistan junior golf contingent, under the auspices of the Pakistan Golf Federation (PGF), has departed for Dhaka to participate in the prestigious “3rd APGC Bangladesh Junior Amateur Golf Championship 2026.” Scheduled to be held from September 23 to 26, the international competition will feature promising national golfers representing the country following a special invitation extended by the Bangladesh Golf Federation.
Prior to departure, the players, team officials, and management assembled in Lahore for a comprehensive Pre-Departure Coordination Meeting, where travel arrangements, documentation, team protocols, and international representation guidelines were finalized.
The national squad represents a well-rounded lineup of emerging talent drawn from prominent golf clubs across the country. The team includes Jannat Aamer Jami from Indus Golf Club Attock, Muhammad Barik Ayub from PAF Islamabad Golf Club, Behzad Murtaza from Karachi Golf Club Karsaz,
and Nabeeha Nafees from Lahore Gymkhana Golf Club. Completing the competitive lineup are Muhammad Musa Adil Waraich representing Peshawar Golf Club, Mustafa Zubair from Margalla Greens Golf Club, Wareesha Shahid Malik from Islamabad Club Golf Course, and Dua Farid Rao from PAF Risalpur Golf Club, all determined to make their mark on the international leaderboard.
According to the Pakistan Golf Federation, fielding junior players in such high-profile international events directly reflects the vision of the PGF Junior Development Programme. The initiative is designed to provide rising grassroots golfers with invaluable competitive exposure and equal opportunities to showcase their skills abroad.
