Six-nation CAVA Men’s Volleyball Championship 2026 kicks off in Islamabad
By Nawaz Gohar ; The ZONG 5G Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Men’s Volleyball Championship 2026 is set to kick off on July 22 at the Liaquat Gymnasium, located within the Pakistan Sports Complex in Islamabad.
Organized by the Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) under the auspices of CAVA, the prestigious six-nation tournament runs through July 29, 2026. The competition brings together national squads from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Uzbekistan.
Ahead of the opening serve, the PVF hosted an official press conference and trophy unveiling ceremony at the Islamabad Hotel. The event brought together senior PVF leadership, CAVA delegates, team officials, head coaches, team captains, and members of the press to mark the formal launch of the championship.
Hailed as one of the most prominent international volleyball events hosted by Pakistan in recent years, the tournament serves a dual purpose: raising competitive standards and fostering regional cooperation, sportsmanship, and goodwill across Central Asia.
All six competing nations have arrived in the federal capital and commenced their final training sessions. CAVA technical officials and international delegates are actively supervising event management, venue facilities, and technical protocols to guarantee seamless execution.
During the media briefing, PVF officials detailed comprehensive arrangements covering team logistics, high-level security protocols, match schedules, and the host team’s competitive readiness. The federation also outlined its broader strategic vision to elevate the footprint of volleyball throughout the country and the wider region.
The launch concluded with the unveiling of the championship trophy, setting the stage for a week of top-tier international competition.
