PSL 11 first phase concludes: Multan Sultans secure top spot on points table

By Nawaz Gohar ; The first phase of the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has come to an end, with Multan Sultans maintaining their dominance at the top of the standings.

Today marks a rest day for the league. After this one-day break, the second phase is set to commence tomorrow in Karachi.

On April 8, the Hyderabad Kingsmen and Peshawar Zalmi will face off at the National Stadium Karachi. Peshawar Zalmi will be led by Babar Azam, while the Hyderabad Kingsmen will be captained by Marnus Labuschagne. the match is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM.

It is worth noting that 14 matches were played during the first phase of PSL 11. Multan Sultans played 5 matches, securing victory in 4 and suffering only one defeat.

The Standings So Far:

Multan Sultans: 1st place (4 wins out of 5 matches).

Karachi Kings: 2nd place (Maintained a perfect record with 3 wins out of 3 matches).

Islamabad United: 3rd place (3 wins out of 4 matches, with one match washed out due to rain).

Lahore Qalandars: 4th place (2 wins and 1 loss out of 3 matches).

Peshawar Zalmi: 5th place (2 wins out of 2 matches played).

Quetta Gladiators: 6th place (1 win and 3 losses out of 4 matches).

Rawalpindi Pindis: 7th place (Unsuccessful in all 4 matches played).

Hyderabad Kingsmen: 8th place (Defeated in all 3 matches played).

Under the government’s austerity program, it was previously decided that all matches of the tournament would be held exclusively in Lahore and Karachi.
