Saim Ayub embraces form slump as learning opportunity amid Hyderabad Kingsmen stint

By Nawaz Gohar ; Saim Ayub, the versatile all-rounder for the Hyderabad Kingsmen, has stated that his current struggle with form is not a cause for concern but rather a vital challenge that offers a unique learning curve in his career.

In an exclusive conversation with a private news channel, Ayub emphasized that his primary focus remains on the “process” of the game rather than immediate results. Reflecting on his transition to his new franchise, the youngster noted that the team environment has exceeded his expectations.

Ayub highlighted his existing rapport with several teammates, including domestic and international players from the United States. He specifically lauded the leadership of Captain Marnus Labuschagne, describing him as a jovial leader who fosters a friendly and engaging atmosphere within the dugout.

“The environment is incredibly positive, which makes the experience of playing for this franchise much more rewarding,” Ayub remarked.

Discussing the team’s strategic direction, Ayub mentioned that the management has placed a heavy emphasis on aggression across all three departments: batting, bowling, and fielding. The objective is to instill a proactive mindset, encouraging players to adopt a fearless approach to the game.

When questioned about his recent dip in performance, the all-rounder maintained a composed and professional outlook: “Form is temporary, and such phases are inevitable in a professional career,” Ayub stated. “I view this as a challenge rather than a problem.

My goal is to extract as much learning as possible during this period. By focusing on the technical and mental process rather than worrying about the outcome, I am working toward refining my game for the long term.”
