Following this New Zealand defeat, Pakistan’s hopes for a semifinal berth have been revived once again. To secure a spot in the final four, Pakistan must achieve a massive victory in their scheduled match against Sri Lanka on Sunday.
Specifically, Pakistan needs to win by a margin of at least 65 runs or bowl Sri Lanka out by the 15th over (depending on the total set). Only under these two specific conditions can Pakistan’s qualification for the T20 World Cup semifinals become a reality.
