Pakistani batsman Umar Akmal is facing suspension under anti-corruption code by PCB

For PSL Season 5 Umar Akmal was in Quetta Gladiators squad

However just hours before opening match of the league, PCB suspended him from all forms of cricket

At that time PCB charged him with not reporting the spot-fixing offer

Umar Akmal denied the charge against him

PCB claimed to possess solid evidence and record of calls against him

Umar Akmal’s mobile phone was captured for checking

Umar Akmal was investigated for meeting suspicious persons

Umar Akmal replied he was fond of attending parties

In parties different persons called on him

People also took photographs with him

Umar Akmal said he didn’t know about activities of every person

Later on Umar Akmal admitted meeting suspicious persons

However he cited personal reasons for that

Now it is told that Umar Akmal has decided not to challenge the charges by PCB

It means he has admitted the charges of spot-fixing offer by suspicious persons and not reporting the matter to PCB officials

Cricket experts say Umar Akmal has made a wise decision of not challenging the allegations against him
