Age Verification Notice to National Sports Federation, Thanks PSB, Razi
International Badminton Coach, Raziuddin Ahmad applaud the firm decision of Pakistan Sports Board regarding the age proof of all U-21 Junior players (Boys & Girls) who will take part in any forthcoming international event.
According to the Pakistan Sports Board’s notification, the officials of all National Sports Federations are bound to submit the Radiology Test TW2 along with Dental age assessment such as Demirjian method to verify the genuine age of the player who will represent Pakistan at international. Any wrong information may lead to a stern action against the Players and the responsible federation.
Raziuddin the former national badminton coach said I am the only in Pakistan to struggle since 2018 about to get rid of the fake age culture on print & electronic and other media. He said it was the worst ever participation shown in National Junior badminton Championship 2018 at Lahore where 98% shuttlers appeared in the categories in which they did not fall in reality.
They had bogus birth certificates or amended Form-B from NADRA while their physical appearance did not match with the certificates they possessed. Only the players from Balochistan province were genuine in age while KP, Punjab and Sindh fell in a fake age at that time that I had mentioned in the press.
Players not only in badminton, almost all other major other games Squash, Cricket, Hockey and Football etc. are involved in this pity culture just to get national color in record. Sports federations are closing their eyes due to some hidden benefits or for their family players enabling them to achieve a Pakistan green coat. They don’t care about the performance or good name of the country.
I am happy that the bold step taken by Pakistan Sports Board to stop fake age culture in sports and strict action against the involved players and the Sports Federation. I believe it will be a milestone towards success in national sports, Razi expressed.
