Thrilling quarterfinals set stage for semis at Punjab Squash Championship

Lahore: The Gogi Alauddin Bard Markhor Punjab Squash Championship (Satellite) 2026 is underway at the Punjab Squash Complex, featuring top talent from across Pakistan competing in the Senior Boys category.

On the second day of the tournament, thrilling second-round and quarterfinal matches kept squash enthusiasts engaged with high-intensity contests.

In the second round, Abdullah Nadeem Butt secured a 3–1 victory over Saddam Ul Haq in a 52-minute encounter to advance to the quarterfinals. Meanwhile, Israr Ahmed edged past Muhammad Mustafa Irfan in a closely fought 3–2 match lasting 47 minutes.

In the quarterfinals, Tayyab Aslam delivered a dominant performance, defeating Kaleem Shoaib 3–0 in just 27 minutes to book a semifinal spot. Anas Ali Shah also progressed to the semifinals after overcoming Muhammad Azlan Khawar 3–1 in a 29-minute match.

The championship continues to showcase emerging squash talent, with the semifinals promising more competitive action.
