RISJA Congratulates SJAL Leadership on Unopposed Re-Election
Islamabad: The Rawalpindi-Islamabad Sports Journalists Association (RISJA) President Abubakar Bin Tallat and Secretary Arslan Sherazi have extended heartfelt congratulations to the newly re-elected leadership of the Sports Journalists Association Lahore (SJAL).
In a joint statement, they lauded the unanimous and unopposed re-election of Aqeel Ahmed as President, Yousaf Anjum as Secretary General, and Afzal Iftikhar as Treasurer for another two-year term. They termed this continued trust of members as a clear reflection of the leadership’s dedication, professionalism, and commitment to the welfare of sports journalists.
RISJA leadership expressed hope that SJAL, under its experienced team, will continue to play a vital role in promoting sports journalism, safeguarding journalists’ rights, and fostering stronger collaboration among media bodies across Pakistan.
They also appreciated the successful conduct of the Annual General Council meeting and acknowledged the role of the Election Commission in ensuring a transparent and smooth electoral process.
