PSL 11: Playoff lineup confirmed as Hyderabad Kingsmen knock out defending champions

In a high-stakes encounter of PSL 11, the Hyderabad Kingsmen defeated the Rawalpindis to secure their qualification for the playoffs. With this victory, the playoff spots for the current season are now full. Hyderabad Kingsmen have become the fourth team to advance, while the defending champions, Lahore Qalandars, have been knocked out of the race.

Three teams—Peshawar Zalmi, Islamabad United, and Multan Sultans—had already secured their playoff berths prior to this match.

The Hyderabad Kingsmen set a daunting target of 245 runs for the Rawalpindis. To ensure their progression to the playoffs, Hyderabad needed to restrict their opponents to 159 runs or less.

Hyderabad’s clinical bowling dismantled the Rawalpindis’ batting lineup, bowling them out for a mere 136 runs. By securing a massive 108-run victory, the Hyderabad Kingsmen—playing in their very first PSL season—successfully clinched their place in the playoffs.
