Cyclists from across Pakistan to compete in Men’s, Women’s Elite , Junior, Para-Cycling and Masters categories

KARACHI : The 10th National Road Cycling Championship 2026, organized by the Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF), will be held in Karachi from October 9 to 11, 2026, bringing together cyclists from across the country in Men’s, Women’s, Junior, Para-Cycling and Masters categories.

The championship will officially commence at 9:00 a.m. on October 9 at Bahria Town Karachi, with competitions in various categories continuing over three days. The closing ceremony and prize distribution will be held on October 11 at 4:00 p.m., where successful cyclists will be awarded medals and souvenirs.

Cyclists representing Pakistan Army, Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), Gilgit-Baltistan Scouts, Gilgit-Baltistan, Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Islamabad, and various other institutions and teams will participate in the championship. Kareng Aidak, Pakistan Cycling Academy and other cycling teams will also take part.

The Pakistan Cycling Federation has also introduced an Open Masters category, providing local cyclists from Karachi and other areas an opportunity to compete at the national level.

Alongside Men’s, Women’s and Junior events, Para-Cycling has been given special inclusion in the championship to provide cyclists with disabilities an opportunity to demonstrate their talent and compete at the national level.
According to the Pakistan Cycling Federation,

accommodation and other essential arrangements have been made at Bahria Town Karachi for cyclists and officials arriving from different parts of the country, ensuring that participating athletes are provided with appropriate facilities and support.

Metro Habib Bank is supporting the championship as a sponsor, while Special Olympics Sindh Cycling Association, Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), Bahria Town Karachi, and other organizations are also extending their cooperation for the successful organization of the event.

President of the Pakistan Cycling Federation, Syed Azhar Ali Shah, said that organizing national-level sporting competitions is extremely important for engaging young people in positive activities and promoting cycling in Pakistan.

He said that, in the present circumstances, continuing sporting activities and providing young athletes with opportunities to demonstrate their abilities at the national level is the need of the hour.

He also appealed to media representatives across the country to provide comprehensive coverage of the 10th National Road Cycling Championship 2026, saying that media support would help promote national sports, encourage cyclists and bring the achievements of Pakistani athletes to the public.

The Pakistan Cycling Federation expressed its gratitude to all participating institutions, sponsors, media representatives and members of the cycling community for their cooperation and expressed confidence that the 10th National Road Cycling Championship 2026 would be successfully conducted
