PSL 11: Lahore leg set to start as Qalandars and Gladiators prepare for battle

By Nawaz Gohar ; The second and final phase of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 is set to ignite the provincial capital tomorrow, with the home favorites Lahore Qalandars taking on Quetta Gladiators at the iconic Gaddafi Stadium.

As the league’s momentum shifts back to Lahore, the city is bracing for a cricketing festival that will include the remaining eight fixtures of the tournament, culminating in the grand final.

Intense Training at LCCA ;
Ahead of the opening clash, the LCCA Ground in Lahore became a hive of activity on Monday. The Lahore Qalandars held a rigorous training session, focusing heavily on fine-tuning their tactical execution. Captain Shaheen Shah Afridi led from the front, overseeing specialized bowling and batting drills as the team looks to capitalize on their home-ground advantage.

Warner Returns for the Kings ;
In a significant boost for Karachi Kings, global superstar and captain David Warner participated in an optional training session today. Warner, who was sidelined for the previous two matches due to fitness concerns, looked sharp in the nets, spending considerable time working on his stroke play.

The Kings’ management remains optimistic that their skipper’s return will provide the necessary firepower to stabilize their campaign during the business end of the tournament.

The Final Push ;
With only eight matches remaining in the 2026 edition, the stakes have never been higher. The transition from Karachi to Lahore marks the beginning of the end for PSL 11, where every run and wicket could determine the lineup for the playoffs.

The Lahore leg officially commences tomorrow evening, promising a sold-out crowd and the high-octane atmosphere that has become synonymous with cricket in the city of gardens.
