PSL 11: Rawalpindi franchise officially named ‘Pindiz’
By Nawaz Gohar ; The Rawalpindi franchise has officially announced its team name as “Pindiz.” The announcement was made via a 25-second teaser video on social media, featuring iconic landmarks of Rawalpindi city set to an energetic musical score.
In the video’s caption, the franchise stated: “The official name of the Rawalpindi team, ‘Pindiz,’ has arrived. We are fearless, we are here to challenge, we bring a new passion, and we are here to change the game.” The franchise also announced that the team’s logo will be unveiled soon.
It is worth noting that during the auction of the Multan Sultans franchise, Walee Technologies acquired the team for 2.45 billion PKR. However, the new owners decided to change the home city from Multan to Rawalpindi.
The 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League is scheduled to take place from March 26 to May 3, 2026.
