UAE Embassy kicks off Ramadan Football Tournament 2026
By Nawaz Gohar ; The Ramadan Football Tournament 2026 has officially commenced at the football ground of the United Arab Emirates Embassy.
The event was inaugurated by the UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Al-Zaabi, in the presence of a large gathering of diplomats, officials, and spectators.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Ambassadors of Kuwait, Lebanon, and Zimbabwe, the U.S. Deputy Head of Mission, senior Pakistani government officials, members of the diplomatic community, and media representatives.
This annual tournament aims to promote the spirit of sportsmanship, cultural exchange, and community engagement during the holy month of Ramadan. UAE Ambassador Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Al-Zaabi stated that alongside the spiritual blessings of the holy month, maintaining physical health is equally essential.
He further noted that the Embassy has been organizing these football matches for several years, with teams from various embassies participating in this mega event as a symbol of friendship and bilateral ties.
