LAHORE: Calling the ongoing 8th Treet World Taekwondo President’s Cup (Asian Region) a landmark moment for the country, Lt. Col. (R) Waseem Ahmad Janjua, Chairman of the Pakistan Taekwondo Federation,
stated that hosting over 869 athletes and officials from 38 nations stands as clear evidence of Pakistan’s strong capability to organize world-class martial arts championships.
In an official statement, Col. Janjua emphasized that the mega-event has not only provided invaluable exposure to local martial artists by pitting them against international-level competitors, but it has also projected a bright,
positive image of Pakistan globally. He noted that the seamless execution of the tournament has further reinforced the confidence of the global taekwondo community in Pakistan’s hosting credentials.
