A new era for national game: Pakistan Hockey League set to launch in Q1 2027
By Nawaz Gohar ; Marking a major breakthrough for national sports, the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has officially announced that the inaugural edition of the “Pakistan Hockey League” will launch in the first quarter of 2027.
The PHF, alongside its organizational partners, is actively working to establish the league as a transformative milestone in the history of the national game.
Under this strategic project, concrete steps are being taken to identify and nurture young talent from the grassroots level,
implement professional coaching standards, establish an improved administrative structure, and provide players with crucial international exposure.
According to federation officials, the long-awaited roadmap to revive Pakistan’s national sport is officially underway.
The PHF reaffirmed that all available resources are being utilized to restore Pakistan hockey to its historic peak on the world stage, with preparations for the 2027 league now gathering full momentum.
