Lahore:Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief executive Wasim Khan has said that he is trying to create a long-term sustainable system for the betterment of national cricket under which domestic cricketers can be given separate contracts for good performance along with doubling their salaries.
According to media reports, Wasim Khan said that after the ICC events, member countries get good capital, but the absence of the T20 World Cup this year, there is a risk of huge financial losses due to which we are working on emergency planning. Under which expenditure and budget will be reduced but domestic and women’s cricket will not be compromised.
He said that besides doubling the players’ compensation for the upcoming domestic season, a new category would also be introduced to encourage the best performing players.
It will be directly related to the six domestic teams as they seek to build long-term and sustainable systems for better performance in the future and have a duty to make the right decisions despite criticism of the new domestic structure.
Wasim Khan said that the services of Younis Khan and Mushtaq Ahmed for the English tour with professional personalities like Thaqleen Mushtaq and Nadeem Khan at the High Performance Center is to improve the game of the youth who are striving to move forward and These efforts will yield better results.
