Lahore Qalandars and Zimbabwe Cricket’s Player Exchange Program Continues in 2026

The player exchange MoU between Lahore Qalandars and Zimbabwe Cricket continues to deliver results in 2026.

Signed in 2023, the program initially saw eight Zimbabwean players train at the Qalandars High Performance Centre for four months. Lahore Qalandars also sent five fast bowlers to Zimbabwe for domestic cricket exposure.

A prime success story is Salman Mirza. After performing strongly in Zimbabwe in both white-ball and red-ball cricket, he was picked by Lahore Qalandars for PSL 10 and played a key role in the franchise’s title-winning campaign. His form earned him a call-up to the Pakistan national team.

Building on this success, eight more Zimbabwean players have now arrived at the Smart Qalandars High Performance Centre in Capital Smart City, Islamabad for a 5-week intensive training camp. They will benefit from elite facilities, complete nutrition plans, and a specialized fitness and skills program.

Earlier this year, two Zimbabwe national team players also joined Lahore Qalandars for training during PSL 2026.
