Inter Madrasa Games Volleyball Tournament Kicks Off in Peshawar
The inter-madrasa games volleyball tournament commenced in Peshawar with fervor as teams from various regions showcased their prowess on the court. The opening matches witnessed DI Khan and Bannu emerging victorious, setting the tone for an exciting competition.
Ameer Zahid Shah, Deputy Director of Sports for Amalgamated Tribal Districts, graced the event as the chief guest during the inaugural ceremony, officially inaugurating the tournament. Joining him were esteemed personalities including Deputy Director Sports Jamshed Baloch, Assistant Director Irshad Khan, and sports journalists Ghaniur Rehman and Shaukat Hussain.
The tournament, organized by the provincial sports department, forms part of the ongoing inter- Madrasa games. Held at the PSB Coaching Center Peshawar, the matches saw the DI Khan team securing a win against Hazara with a score of 25-18 and 25-16. In the subsequent match, the Bannu team triumphed over Mardan with a score of 25-18 and 25-12.
It’s worth noting that the competition features young athletes from madrasas across Peshawar, Hazara, Mardan, Kohat, Bannu, DI Khan, and Malakand regions. Apart from volleyball, the students are also participating in cricket and football competitions, adding further excitement to the sporting extravaganza.
