Pakistan Women’s U19 team begins training in Malaysia

Pakistan Women’s U19 team had their first training session at the Selangor Turf Club in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday after arriving in the country a day before. The four-hour long session included batting and bowling practice in the nets along with fielding drills.
Head coach Mohsin Kamal led the training session while his support staff, including Assistant Coach Hanif Malik, Fielding Coach Nahida Khan, Strength and Conditioning Coach Asfand Yar gave the players tips regarding their respective areas of expertise.
Komal Khan-led Pakistan U19 Women’s team will take on Nigeria in their first warm-up match on Monday, 13 January. The first ball is expected to be bowled at 7.30am PKT. In their second warm-up match, Komal’s 15-member outfit will be against Australia on Wednesday, 15 January and the game is expected to begin at 11.30am PKT.
Pakistan will take on USA in their opening fixture on 18 January followed by their game against England on 20 January. Pakistan’s last Group B match is against Ireland on 22 January.
