PCB announces new financial incentives and prize money for PSL 2026
By Nawaz Gohar ; The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the prize money and new financial incentives for franchises for Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026.
The 11th edition of the league is scheduled to run from March 26 to May 3, once again positioning Pakistan’s premier T20 league as a focal point of global attention.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, while announcing the new financial scheme, stated that the PSL 2026 champions will receive $500,000, while the runners-up will be awarded $300,000. These amounts are in addition to the tournament’s overall prize pool.
The most significant change this time is a new special incentive for cricket development. The PCB has introduced a $200,000 special prize for the franchise that plays a prominent role in the development of cricket within Pakistan.
According to the PCB, this initiative aims to encourage franchises to invest in grassroots cricket, youth academies, talent hunt programs, coaching, and regional competitions to further strengthen the country’s domestic cricket structure.
Chairman Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that all stakeholders must work together to take Pakistan cricket to new heights. This new prize scheme will officially take effect starting with PSL 2026.
