Sikandar Raza welcomes Ryan Burl to Lahore Qalandars

By Nawaz Gohar ;  The Lahore Qalandars have officially handed a Pakistan Super League (PSL) debut to Zimbabwean all-rounder Ryan Burl, marking a significant addition to the defending champions’ lineup.

In a moment that resonated with fans across borders, Burl was presented with his debut cap by his national team captain and long-time teammate, Sikandar Raza. The heartwarming gesture highlighted the strong Zimbabwean presence within the Qalandars’ camp as they head into the crucial stages of the tournament.

Burl enters the Playing XI in place of Parvez Hossain Emon, who is currently sidelined with a trapezius muscle injury. The injury was sustained during a high-impact on-field collision with Asif Ali while fielding in the 4th over of the previous encounter against Multan Sultans.

The Qalandars’ medical team provided the following update on Emon’s condition:
Current Status: Emon took part in a light training session yesterday, showing “encouraging signs of progress.”

Management Decision: Despite his recovery, the team management has opted for a “precautionary rest” to prioritize his long-term fitness and ensure a 100% recovery.

Future Outlook: The franchise remains optimistic about his swift return to action in the upcoming fixtures.

The Lahore Qalandars family extends their full support to Emon during his rehabilitation and wishes Ryan Burl a successful start to his PSL journey.
