GTTF Pakistan Chapter honours 3rd Anniversary with Global Kick-a-Thon

By Nawaz Gohar ;  In a powerful display of athleticism, unity, and martial arts heritage, the Pakistan Chapter of the Global Traditional Taekwondo Federation (GTTF) marked the federation’s third anniversary by anchoring a high-energy, worldwide Kick-a-Thon during the final week of May 2026.

Martial artists and practitioners from all corners of Pakistan synchronized their efforts to unleash an astonishing 25,786 kicks within a strict, allotted timeframe. This massive contribution drew immense praise from the international martial arts community, injecting a wave of pride and encouragement across Pakistan’s sports landscape.

The global campaign was designed with a dual purpose: to celebrate three years of GTTF’s rapid growth and to raise awareness for the restoration, preservation, and promotion of traditional Taekwondo as a vehicle for world peace.

The GTTF was originally established on May 16, 2023, by the vision of Grandmaster Jun Lee. Under his global guidance, the federation has set out to reclaim the core philosophical and traditional values of Taekwondo—principles that many practitioners fear are being diluted in the modern, overly commercialized sporting era. Today, the non-profit organization unites a passionate, diverse network of grandmasters and students spanning more than 190 countries.

In Pakistan, this mission is spearheaded by Grandmaster Rizwan Mustafa Zubairi, a highly respected, certified 8th Dan GTTF Black Belt.

Speaking on the success of the anniversary event, Grandmaster Zubairi emphasized that GTTF Pakistan is doing much more than teaching martial arts; it is building a community.

“Our ultimate goal is to foster deep, supportive relationships within the Pakistani Taekwondo community,” Grandmaster Zubairi stated. “We want to empower our members to step onto the mat with pride, knowing they are active guardians of Taekwondo’s true, traditional heritage.”

With over 25,000 kicks successfully logged, the Pakistan Chapter has firmly established itself as a cornerstone of the global traditional martial arts movement, proving that the ancient discipline still holds vibrant relevance in 2026.
