Former Hockey Olympian and Member of the Assembly, Akhtar Rasool, along with Balochistan’s Secretary, Amjad Sati, Parvez Bhandara from the Punjab Hockey Association, Syed Zahir Shah representing the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Hockey Association, and Rana Mujahid, along with various other hockey representatives, gathered requisitions from Congress members.

Expressing deep regret, Akhtar Rasool referred to the postpone of the no-confidence meeting as unprecedented in the history of the Pakistan Hockey Federation. He criticized the Election Commissioner’s decision to call off the meeting as a wrong move, emphasizing that accountability should not be avoided. Consequently, the meeting was adjourned.

Questions arose about the Secretary of PHF’s confidence in victory, as his decision to cancel the meeting puzzled many. Representatives applauded the participation of female Congress members from various provinces, commending their courage in attending the confidence meeting. It was their consensus that the list of Congress members had been tampered with, including individuals unrelated to hockey, which they believed demonstrated the Secretary PHF’s inability to defend his position.

Subsequently, all members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Baluchistan, and Punjab Hockey Association declared their refusal to implement any directives issued by the current Secretary. Additionally, during the meeting, it was decided to convene a meeting of the Punjab Hockey Association next week.
