Warner slams social media rumors, confirms he’s enjoying PSL stint despite IPL ohverlap
By Nawaz Gohar ; Former Australian white-ball captain David Warner has clarified that there was no heated exchange between himself, former England all-rounder Moeen Ali, and the Karachi Kings manager.
Following Karachi Kings’ recent match, video clips circulated showing manager Haider Azhar speaking to Warner, with Moeen Ali later joining the conversation.
Social media users, particularly from India, began exaggerating the incident, claiming that Warner and Moeen Ali had a falling out with Haider Azhar.
As the rumors spread, David Warner took to his social media account to clarify that these claims are entirely fabricated. He stated that there was no disagreement with the Karachi manager; rather, they were simply discussing who would go for the post-match interview.
Accompanied by smiling emojis, Warner expressed that he is enjoying captaining Karachi Kings, leading them to victory, and having a great time playing in the PSL. It is worth noting that since the PSL and the Indian Premier League (IPL) are taking place concurrently, cricket fans are highly active on social media.
Indian users, in particular, often look for flaws or attempt to highlight imaginary controversies within the PSL. Despite the overlap with the IPL, several high-profile foreign players are participating in the PSL this year, including Warner, Moeen Ali, Daryl Mitchell, Mark Chapman, Peter Siddle, Steve Smith, Tabraiz Shamsi, Sikandar Raza, Reeza Hendricks, and Mustafizur Rahman.
