In yet another remarkable feat, mountaineer Naila Kiani on Monday became the first Pakistani woman to reach the summit of Annapurna mountain (8,091 metres) – the 10th highest peak in the world located in Nepal.

She was accompanied by her compatriot Shehroze Kashif — who claimed the title of being the youngest Pakistani to make the Annapurna summit  — and Nepalese sherpas

According to the details, the two Pakistani mountaineers along with the Seven Summit Treks (SST) team successfully ascended the peak between 6:30 and 7:30 am on Monday. They had started their expedition for the summit on Sunday evening.

With her latest expedition, Naila became the first Pakistani woman to summit four peaks over 8000 metres.

She has also ascended Gasherbrum-II (8,035m) in 2021 and climbed Gasherbrum-I (8,068m) and the world’s second-highest peak K2 in July 2022.

Kashif, on the other hand, has become the youngest climber to summit 11 out of 14 peaks above 8000 metres.
