Peshawar Special Athletes Honored for Outstanding Performance at World Special Games
A ceremony was organized in Peshawar to honor the remarkable achievements of three special athletes who represented the city in the athletics competitions at the World Special Games in Germany. The event witnessed the participation of other players as well, making it a grand celebration of sporting excellence.
The three talented athletes, namely Bishar, Haseeb, and Ammar, who proudly represented Peshawar in the recent Special Olympics held in Germany, were recognized during the ceremony. They owe their success to the relentless training provided by their dedicated coaches, Adnan Khan and Zafaran Afridi. Notably, Haseeb had the privilege of personally attending the Games in Germany.
In the 2023 World Special Games, Bishr secured an impressive 4th position in the 800m race and earned a well-deserved bronze medal in the 50m race. On the other hand, Ammar participated in the 200m and 400m races, clinching a remarkable victory in the 200m race. He also displayed outstanding performance by securing the 4th and 5th positions in the 400m race.
During the ceremony, the special athletes were adorned with garlands, symbolizing their exceptional accomplishments, while their triumph was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm.
