Govt Recognises Sports Media: Tamgha-e-Imtiaz for Senior Journalist Abdul Mohi Shah
By Nawaz Gohar ; The Pakistan Sports Writers Federation (PSWF) has formally extended its warmest felicitations to veteran sports journalist Abdul Mohi Shah on being conferred the prestigious Presidential Award, Tamgha-e-Imtiaz.
The accolade, presented by President Asif Ali Zardari, marks a rare and significant state-level acknowledgment of specialized journalism in Pakistan. In a high-profile joint statement, Amjad Aziz Malik (President of PSWF and Secretary General of AIPS Asia) and Muhammad Asghar Azeem (Secretary General of PSWF), alongside the Executive Council, hailed the decision as a victory for the entire profession.
